My Dream

My wish for Australia, my home the vibrations of appreciation, gratitude, ecstasy and bliss
May these energetic vibrations ring throughout the land and ethers
A celebration of the highest order within the highest energy
Calibration of deep gratitude, joy and ecstatic bliss
through the line of balance within and through the body aligned through
the centre of the being to the Earth, within the interlocking Octohedron

Australians, All Let Us Rejoice

Judith Wright wrote: Australia is still, for us, not a country but a state - or states - of mind.

Has this statement changed since it was written 45 years ago?
Something to ponder as Australia Day approaches.
Yes, eat lamb, it's the Aussie thing to do! Certainly sounds like a "state of mind" to me.
What binds a people within an island country? Is it just the sea? A state of mind?
A way of living? A thing to do? Does a commonality exist? What is the common denominator?
Freedom? Hardship? Commaradery? Common Heritage?
Perhaps it is just a state of mind... and there is no single commonality on which to hang your hat.
A common dream we all create and play our part in.

For the wonderful women who go unnoticed

To all you fabulous women over 40!!!! Enjoy
In case you missed it on 60 Minutes, this is what
Andy Rooney thinks about women over 40:

60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS)

As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all.
Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the
night and ask, "What are you thinking?" She doesn't care
what you think.
If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game,
she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does
something she wants to do, and it's usually more
interesting.
Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming
match with you at the opera or in the middle of an
expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it,
they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can
get away with it.
Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved.
They know what it's like to be unappreciated.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess
your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle
or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger
counterpart.
Older women are forthright and honest.
They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk or if you
are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where
you stand with her.
Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons.
Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning,
smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald,
paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself
with some 22-year old waitress.
Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say
"Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?",
here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are
against marriage. Why?
Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire
pig just to get a little sausage!

Andy Rooney is a really smart guy!

Comet...

Well, what a beautiful sight
standing there alone at night
watching the heavens growing dark
and the comet's tail spark
burning head and feathery tail
slowly descending just like a sail
burning a path across the sky
follow the plume, let the spirit fly....

A strong case for (not) having nuclear power
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/6262299.stm

Four employees at a nuclear plant in Japan were splashed by radioactive water during a routine inspection.

The workers' health and the area had been unaffected by the incident, the plant's operators, Kansai Electric Power Co, were quoted as saying.

The water, with traces of radiation, leaked at the Takahama No 1 reactor in Fukui, in western Japan.

Japan's nuclear industry has been hit by a string of mishaps and accidents but most have not involved people.

The country is reliant on nuclear power to meet its energy needs, but its shaky safety record has fuelled popular opposition to the plants.

Japan's worst nuclear accident also occurred in Fukui prefecture, at the Mihama plant in 2004 when a pipe burst killing five workers.

The latest incident took place as the Takahama unit was closed for regular inspection on Sunday, Kansai said in a statement.

Free Energy Technology

Steorn announces plans for widespread deployment of its free energy technology post-validation

Dublin, 11th January 2007: Steorn, the Irish technology development company, has today announced that its free energy technology will be made widely available to the development community immediately after the independent scientific validation process that is currently underway.

Under the terms of a modified general purpose licence and for a nominal fee, Steorn's intellectual property will be made available concurrently to all interested parties, from individual enthusiasts to larger research organisations. Steorn is taking this bold move to accelerate the deployment and acceptance of its technology for both humanitarian and commercial products.

Steorn's technology is based on the interaction of magnetic fields and allows the production of clean, free and constant energy. The technology can be applied to virtually all devices requiring energy, from cellular phones to cars.

Steorn placed an advertisement in The Economist in August 2006 to attract the attention of the world's leading scientists working in the field of experimental physics. It has now completed the selection of its jury of scientists who have embarked on the testing of the technology prior to publishing their results worldwide.

Sean McCarthy, CEO of Steorn, commented: "We have experienced enormous levels of interest in our free energy technology from the product development community.

"Experience tells us that opening up access to technology to all interested parties via the internet allows for rapid third party development. We believe that our technology can have a profound impact on people's lives and are confident that the delivery of our intellectual property via this type of online development and engineering support environment will lead to the rapid deployment of all kinds of different products."

THE GREAT COMET OF 2007

I have copied a "breaking news" email just received from Dave Reneke from Astronomy Media Services

A newfound comet is now looping around the sun and is offering skywatchers a rare and fantastic view of something we’ll probably never see again. By all reports, this looks like being one of the great comets - certainly a major find for an Australian and probably the brightest in about 30 years.

Robert McNaught, a professional astronomer conducting the Siding Spring survey (near Coonabarabran NSW) reported his discovery of a new comet on Aug 7, 2006. This was Robert’s 31st find.

The best visibilty occurs on Monday January 15, with the comet starting to move away from the sun. The head will set about 39 mins after sunset. It is quite reasonable to expect the tail to remain visible up to an hour enabling it to be seen in a dark sky.

The comet will be brighter than the brightest stars, but it gets better. Due to the dust in the comet, there will be a brightness enhancement around that date caused by the comet being located between us and the Sun. This brightening, called forward scatter, should increase the brilliance of the comet so an impressive sight should be seen between January 12 to 16.

Indeed - The comet's brightness may possibly rival Venus (the Evening star) visible in the evening twilight at the moment just after Sunset.

By the evening of January 18, the comet has moved sufficiently away from the Sun and appears very low in the western evening sky after sunset. It will then move out into the depths of the solar system.

Rob McNaught has a great website with lots of info, pics and viewing advice for southern observers here: http://msowww.anu.edu.au/~rmn/C2006P1.htm
Here is another link from Nasa that captures the comets movements in front of the sun. To view this you will need 'realplayer' on your computer

COMET McNAUGHT!!

Well, this is truly exciting stuff. Comet McNaught is visible in the daylight sky without binoculars from January 13-19 for us in Oz.
Here's some info about it: the comet head measures approximately 300,000 miles in diameter,Moon aprox 2,150 miles in diameter;Sun aprox 862,400 miles in diameterThat means the head of the comet (not the nucleus) is 1/3 rd the size of the Sun!

This is not small!

Comet P1 McNaught reached brightness on January 06 magnitude -1.
The Comet is 5 mag brighter than original ephemeris predicted some weeks ago...Astronomers are predicting magnitude -7 on January 14 2007.
If this occurs this will become one of THE BRIGHTEST COMET EVER and will be observed during DAYLIGHT.
PIcture: http://www.astronomie.de/fachbereiche/kometen/c2006-p1-mcnau ght/jaeger4.jpg
In comparison:Sun -26.7 (about 400 000 times brighter than full Moon)
Full Moon -12.7
Venus (at its brightest) -4.4
Sirius (brightest star) -1.44
Limit of human eye +6 (obviously will vary with individual)
Limit of 10 x 50 binoculars +9
Pluto +14
On Jan 15, the comet is closest to the earth at a distance of 0.82AU,
Earth to Sun 1.02
Earth to Moon 0.0027

I can reproduce Steve Quirk's graphic for Sydneys latitude from Rob McNaught's page as long as he is credited - so i will then! should be suitable for most of southern oz as it says.
Here's the cut and pasted accompanying text:

' This diagram by Steve Quirk shows the WSW sky just after sunset for NSW. Venus will be an obvious bright object up to the right, but Mercury will be difficult to see except in binoculars (do not try to look for it or the comet before the Sun has fully set). The position of the comet on seven nights from Jan 13 to 19 is given. Although technically visible on the 13th, the comet sets just after the sun, so it is on the 14th and 15th before the comet is likely to be easily seen. The tail is plotted as a general indication of what might be seen. The outer parts of the tail will only be visible after the sun, and the comet's head, have set much lower below the horizon.

This diagram (and a b+w version) can be freely used in any publication if credited (c) Steve Quirk (2007). Note however the diagram is only really applicable to the southern states of Australia.'

thanks Steve!

Use binoculars if you want to see rather than a telescope.
Well, I looked and waited but the sky had too many whispy clouds covering it in the westerly direction. The brilliant firey red of the sun burning through the clouds was exquisite but alas, couldn't see the comet.

Thoughts, feelings, actions - create reality

OK, time to get real about creating the change that I want in my life.
You, are welcome to join me on this journey of creating a new and exciting life if that is what you wish for yourself, and I would hazard a guess that most of the people who are reading this blog are wanting to do just that.
So here goes

'The Past Does Not Equal The Future'

KNOW

'Your Point Of Power Is In The Now'

In 'The Science of Success: How to Attract Prosperity and Create Life Balance Through Proven Principles' author James A. Ray explains:

'Your current situation is the direct result of your past thoughts, decisions and actions. If you look at your current situation, and make decisions about who you are and what you can have based on those results, then you are repeating the same thoughts, decisions, and perhaps even actions that got you where you are today. That does guarantee that you will get the same results again, and end up with more of what you have now.'

Once you understand of the power of this principle you will understand that there is nothing holding you in your current position - aside from your thoughts, beliefs and vibrations.

Here's the Action
'Change' Your Story

Focus on 'kick starting' 2007, by telling the Universe a new story about ourselves.

In the book 'Write It Down, Make It Happen', Henriette Anne Klausner writes, 'If you know what you want, you can have it.'
SO,
write your intended outcomes

This day

It's a new day, as the song goes and I step in with intrepidation. The main part of the festivities are now behind and the energy is entering the "back to the daily routine" type of status even though it's not quite there. I have this awful feeling 2007 is not going to be a nice year at all. oh, I hope I am soo wrong! in the interim, I'm going to (as usual) make the best of what is in my life and await on the Universe to send pointers as to which way to progress and 'trust' that all will be well.
Musings over for the moment, on with the day...

The Dawn Arrives

Now that I have docked i can explore a variety of uncovered truths that await me. There is the potential of the creative mind, freedom, adventure, and unexpected changes on the path of life, emergence of unseen life forces. The awareness is fresh as new ideas are discovered. Most exciting is the realization that clarity is brilliantly emerging like the bright sun in the sky . As I venture from my 'raft' of the past, i must be aware of the truth and freedom that awaits. Freedom misused can be confusing and chaotic. Thoughtfulness and discernment are neede as goals are gathered with resources and information. Know my boundaries-the lessons of the 'raft'. Clarity of goals. Being surefooted. Anticipating illuminating insights from places deep within. This is a creative and purposeful time. Most importantly, focus attention and thoughts.

Hold Firm

There are times when everyone needs a word of encouragement, a hug, a reminder that regardless of what is happening in your life there is a light just around the corner and the end of the time of great travail.
And so with that in mind and heart a message surfaces:

What seems lost will be regained a thousand times over when reconstruction and discovery of a new foundation of faith and hope in self and in life is restored.

You know that thing about not seeing the forest for the trees. Treasures that lie before us cannot be found until we are able to discover them. Allowance of the self to have the time to feel emotions. Honor the process of introspection. With faith (is that the one the size of a mustard seed?) and hope, a new revelation will gently come forward to heal the broken heart. Becoming one with own feelings is a crucial step on the path of life. That's that shadow thing, facing and owning it.

Geezze, talk about "ask and you shall receive" manifesting very rapidly now.

May these words comfort those who need them

To The Uni~verse

OK, Universe, here I am
you keep putting incredible synchronistic events and information in my way for those "aha" type moments and realisations so they virtually land in my lap so that I do not miss them. Fulfilment of destiny is at stake here, the path of destiny is the journey to the end point, which when you reach it refracts and moves on further. The events disguised as adventures, gleanings and people along the way are the spice of life. I'm out of spice! Has the spice been all used up? Surely not!
Which blend of spice is the "Spice of the year" for 2007? Is it a mix of new people and events energetically linked to mutual progress in the ever ending spiral of creation? To knowing the essence of the "SELF"? To surfacing the shadow so it can no longer can cause havoc in the unseen places of the soul? To living out life in a mix of creative joyous ecstasy regardless of surrounding events?
Ah, be in this world but not of it
Can I be selective in what I choose not to be a part of and just enjoy the good bits?
I'll answer that, "YEP"
And so it is

Thought for the day

The world is a very dangerous place! Not because of those who do evil but, because of those who do nothing about it!!! Albert Einstein

What will you do this fine day as the drizzle sweeps in over the dry countryside obscuring even the mountains?
Will you pretend that all is well and there is no change in the world or will you consider what you want to create for tomorrow?
Hmm, my creation:
the abundance of joy in my life...
creating a reality shift to make it so!
